# Authentication

To authenticate with the Agenthost API, you'll need to create your API Key.

1. Go to [workspace](https://www.agenthost.ai/workspace)
2. Go to [settings](https://www.agenthost.ai/settings)
3. Select `Credentials` 
4. Then on the right of `API Keys`, please select `Create`
5. Give your key a name for your referencing then hit `Create`
6. You will be shown the API Key. Select `Copy` and store it somewhere safe. You will never be shown the key again. 
7. You  will need to add the header `AG-API-KEY: {YOUR_API_KEY}` to all of your requests to be authenticated. You can find this by selecting `Authorize` in the api reference page then looking for "ApiKey (apiKey)"
